A great WordPress.com site

Okay, week 2 of animation design. We are learning about storytelling. I have always loved writing and thought that my first year creative writing subjects would help me get to a good story for my animation…but this is hard!

I seriously need inspiration!

I found this website which shows how the production process works for major animation design studios (in this case, dreamworks.)

Found some tips on writing short stories too : http://jerz.setonhill.edu/writing/creative1/shortstory/

Got me thinking about using characters from stories I have already written, but who wants to use old stuff?
So I am working on my new story and characters. The pressure is on though, it has to be really good! (unless you want to get laughed at!)

On a different note we had to make our own thaumatropes, to present in class with a story. Here is a taste:

The just of it is, a sad little guy (let’s call him Joshua) walking with a raincloud over his head, he sits alone in a park on a swing when a friendly little dog shows up. He looks at the dog as the dog looks at him and then all of a sudden the dog licks him right across the face. Instantly his deep feelings of sadness and solitude disappear with the raincloud and is replaced with a sun and rainbow. I know…but I will work on my ideas and get better.

I will be working hard on my idea for a story for the final animation! C’mon brain…
